The Hiram Police Department Criminal Investigations Division (CID) is responsible for investigating unsolved crimes, and handling long-term investigations related to gangs, narcotics, and other organized crimes. The Criminal Investigations Division is also responsible for the handling and storing of evidence for all criminal cases.

Crimes against persons, such as homicide, robbery, sexual assault, kidnapping, and child abuse / molestation
Crimes against property, such as burglary, larceny, motor vehicle theft, and pawn shop violations
