Community Outreach

The Hiram Police-Community Alliance is the new Community Programs initiative created to better enhance the Hiram Police Department's mission "to serve the community with professional police service through partnerships with residents and businesses to provide a safe and secure environment through the delivery of fair and impartial police services and proactive problem solving."

The Hiram Police Department's Community Programs Initiative is to serve the public in several way. The Department will continue to host an annual Citizen's Police Academy for the citizens of Hiram and Paulding County. The program has been revamped to better educate the participants in Police Department programs and initiatives. The Department has also formed an Alliance with local Faith Leaders called the Hiram Police-Pastors Alliance. This Alliance was formed to open up communication and collaboration between Police Department personnel and faith leaders around this area. This Alliance meets frequently to discuss areas of needed improvement within the community and collaborates together in a partnership to solve these issues.

The Police Department also offers several free courses to the community as part of the Hiram Police-Community Alliance. These courses include:

  • Women’s Self-Defense Classes
  • Firearms Safety Classes
  • Church Safety and Security Seminars and Classes
  • House Watch
