The current City Clerk is Melissa Chosewood who has been serving the City of Hiram as City Clerk since 2016. She is currently serving as District 1 Director for the Georgia Municipal Clerks Association.

Responsibilities
The Clerk's official functions include:- Maintenance and custody of the City's official records and history
- Coordination of City Council requirements, including preparing agenda materials and minutes for City Council meetings
- Maintenance of Election Superintendent duties and responsibilities
