City Manager

Jody Palmer was appointed to the position of City Manager of
the City of Hiram, Georgia, February 7, 2017, butCity Manager Portrait - Copy (4) - Copy has worked here since 2006, in multiple roles.  As City Manager he serves as the Chief Executive Officer for the City, and oversees all day to day operations.

In his time with the City of Hiram his goal has been to increase the effectiveness and efficiency of services provided to the public, while expanding and diversifying those services.

He is proud to have served in the United State Air Force.  He has earned his CPM (Certified Public Manager) credential through the University of Georgia’s Carl Vinson Institute.  In addition to his work at the City of Hiram, he currently serves as a member of the Paulding County Planning Commission, and the Paulding County Library Board.  Prior to coming to Hiram, Georgia, he worked for the Paulding County Board of Commissioners in several capacities ranging from Transportation, Community Development, and Finance/Procurement. 

Jody is a native to Paulding County and, when not at work, spends his time with his family.

The City Manager shall be the chief executive and administrative officer of the City.  The City Manager shall be responsible to the City Council for the administration of all City affairs entrusted to the position by or under the City of Hiram Charter, including the budget.
