Officer Bartlett Recognized For Saving Civilian's Life

During the last City of Hiram Council Meeting, Officer Nicolas Bartlett with the Hiram Police Department was recognized for his efforts in saving a civilian's life.
This is what Chief Michael Turner had to say:
"On May 27, 2023, officers of the Hiram Police Department responded to a shooting call on Creekwood Drive. Upon arrival at the scene, Officer Bartlett found Mr. Jarrod Campbell lying prone in the yard of a house in the third block of the street. Officer Bartlett approached and noticed that Mr. Campbell had suffered a catastrophic gunshot wound to the side, which entered his chest.
Officer Bartlett realized that Mr. Campbell was in grave danger and immediately summoned medical assistance. In the interim, Officer Bartlett, using his training, began rendering first aid that sustained Mr. Campbell’s life until the arrival of medical assistance. Mr. Campbell was transported to a critical care facility ; however, had it not been for the life saving efforts of Officer Bartlett, Mr. Campbell would not have survived the day."
Congratulations and thank you for your service, Officer Bartlett!
